The Old Town

 

Come discover the treasures of the ancient city through the pedestrian streets, the city hall, the cathedral, the stone buildings but also the many fountains reminiscent of Roman times such as the one at the Place de la Rotonde. The Cours Mirabeau, a must-see place will welcome you through its many markets; plenty enough to discover the local products. Surrounded by hotels from the 17th century, it is also used as a junction between the 2 towns. Do not miss the Clock Tower located in the Saint Sauveur district, the oldest in the city.

Want a story? Come visit the Silvacane Abbey, Cezanne's workshop, The Granet Museum or even the Vazarely Foundation.

Our region hosts many festivals every year such as the International Festival of Lyric Art, the Easter Festival, the International Piano Festival, the Comic Book Festival, the Avignon Festival but also exhibitions such as the Arles Photography Meeting.

You can also go on a gastronomic tour by tasting the famous sweets Calissons d'Aix and many other regional tasting.

Nature and water are at your fingertips with plenty of opportunities for exploration.

 

For nature, do not miss Les Baux-de-Provence but also Les Villages du Luberon.

For water, Les Calanques, La Ciotat or even La Côte Bleue.

If you want to go a bit further then drive to Les Gorges du Verdon, you will not be disappointed !

The extraordinary cultural wealth of this region will take you to L’île-sur-la-Sorgue, a small village rich in history. A little further west go up to la Cité des Papes, on the bridge of Avignon.

Outdoor Activities

We are located in a privileged environment for nature lovers and sports users of all abilities.

If you are in the footsteps of Paul Cézanne you will appreciate the many hikes including Sainte Victoire which offers multiple trails. Don't forget to walk on the Barrage de Bimont which extends over a length of 180 meter. Not far away, the Massif de la Sainte Baume invites you to venture over an area of 45,000 hectares between the Bouches-du-Rhône and the Var. You know it by now, on foot or by bike, the possibilities are endless. And for thrill seekers you will be able to do your First Flight by paragliding or parachute !

In the Heart of Provence

 

The plateau de Valensole with its lavender fields from the end of May until the end of July is flourishing.

Not to be missed, the Château La Coste, a wine estate which will show you culture, gastronomy and well-being. There is also the Château de la Gaude, the Wine Country with the Domaine L'Olibaou, the Domaine de Saint Ser, the Château Simone and many more.
